The Bogota Men's Basketball Bucs played their opening round game in the Garfield Holiday Tournament on Tuesday -26-December. Bogota controlled most of the game taking a seventeen Point lead after the first Quarter and having 52- 18 lead at half time. Before the Second Quarter's end Bogota's Deiker Padrino put back a rebound to record his 1,000 Point of this high school career. He becomes the 14th Player in Men's Basketball to record 1,000 points. Mr. Padrino is also the 28th player over all to record their 1,000th point for Bogota. He is the first to achieved this milestone since Megan Lynch and Lou Pena passed this mark in 2011.
Mr. Padrino finished the game with overall highs of 30 Points including 5 Three Point Baskets. Argenis Soriano and Tim Uzor both recorded 2 Three Pointers, while Colin McDonnell and Xavier Byrd each added a single basket from beyond the arc. Bogota now has a record of 4-0 and will play
Westwood in the second round at Garfield High School today 27-December. This has a scheduled tip-off at 7:30p
