Starting on Thursday-16 March the Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement. Construction is schedule to take 10 Months to complete.
The Bogota library will once again be holding it's food for fines month in October. This will allow anyone with over due books, or other items to donated a food item instead of paying for the fine. Each item donated will be equal to $1.00 worth of fines. Items must to
non-perishable, and in a non-glass container. All food item will be donated to the St. Joseph's food bank.

Sunday-1- October will be the start of Leaf Season. Home Owners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street , along the curb, in front of their residents. It is ask that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding , or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -18- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

The Bogota Emergency Departments will hold their next Emergency Services Night. This will be a chance to see the equipment used by the first responders who are based in Bogota. Members of the Bogota Fire Department, Heavy Rescue Squad and the Auxiliary Police Department will be on hand to show how they respond to emergency situation, how their equipment works, and answer questions about their duties. They will also able at sign-up anyone who wishes to become a Volunteer with one , or more, of the departments.
This will take place in Olsen Park from 6:00p to 9:00p.

The Bogota Band Parents will again sponsor its Town Wide Garage Sale It will run from 10:00a to 4:00p rain or shine. The cost to participate is $15.00 this will allow the seller to have their address listed on the official garage sale map and they will receive yard sign for their address show that are a participant. Process from the registration fee will go to help support the Bogota High School Marching Buccaneer Band. The Bogota Band Parents is another group of Families who join together to help fund the High School program when School fund are not available. Some of the help provided is trip planning and addition transportation to away football game, and Band competitions.
