Bogota Beautiful and Bogart Memorial Church will be hosting a Block Party that will take place on W. Ft Lee Rd between Larch and Elm Aves. This will run from 2:00p to 6:00p and is open to the Public. It will be a potluck event and it is asked that any food item will be enough to share with the rest of the attendees. There will be grills available for use on a limited basis. The Bogart School's basketball court and the playground, along with a bounce house. Performances by local artist are scheduled including an open mic segment.

The Ridgefield Park's Elks Lodge #1506 will hold its annual Cassetta-Dietrich Memorial Golf Outing at the Overpeck County Golf Course in Teaneck, NJ. Starting on Wednesday 20-Sept. and going until Saturday 23- Sept. The St.Joseph's Church will hold their 11th annual Carnival and Food Festival. Rides will open at 6:00p and run until 10:00p Weekdays, and 11:00p on Weekends. They will be selling super 50/50 tickets for $100 /ticket. This year there will only be 100 tickets sold. The grand prize will be 35% of the money raised . A second prize of 15% will also be awarded. They are also looking for Volunteers to help with each day of the Carnival. Anyone may donate if the are between 17-75 years old, in good heath, and weigh at least 110 lbs. A donor is accepted even if they are prescribed medications that are frequently taken, inform the staff of all medication being taken, and it is recommended that a donor have a good meal , and plenty of fluids prior to donating.

This is another way the Bogota Volunteer Fire Department serves the citizens of Bogota. The Bogota Fire Department is an all volunteer organization serving the Borough since 1901. They also provide assistance in rescue , and other emergency situation. The Bogota Fire Department is now currently recruiting new members to become volunteers. This is open to anyone Female or Male who are at least 18 years of age , and are residents of Bogota as well as Ridgefield Park, Teaneck ,and Hackensack. Training, and equipment will be provided. There is also a Junior Firefighter program open to young Women, and Men who at at least 16 years of age. A Junior Firefighter will also receive training , and be a part of the support system to the Firefighters themselves.
