   The National Weather Service, along with State and Local authorities have issued a Heat Advisory for New Jersey and New York.

...CAUTIONARY LEVELS OF HEAT AND HUMIDITY FOR NEW YORK CITY AND
URBAN PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON..

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* Heat Index Values...In the upper 90s.

* Timing...Through this afternoon. The highest heat index values
  will occur during the afternoon.

* Impacts...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
  outdoor exertion or extended exposure.

Most of our region will experience excessive heat and humidity today. If working or participating in outdoor activities make sure to dress appropriately and stay hydrated. Sheriff Michael Saudino reminds you to check on neighbors who are elderly or that have health problems. Stay cool and be safe!

With that in mind. As long as the power stayed on. The roads were clear, and not really needed to travel far... Was this so bad.
