On an warm , but clear 4th of July evening residents of Bogota gathered at Olsen Park to enjoy the firework show from across the river in Hackensack. While the scheduled start time slowly passed one single colour burst was seen over the Hackensack River. This was able to focus the crowd to search the night sky for more. Those closest to the river could hear the playing of the National Anthem and then the countdown to the light show to follow. Some took advantage of the Ryan Bridge construction to get a unique viewing area from W. Ft. Lee rd without worrying about traffic. Others gathered in the Bogota Swim Club, or around Fiegel Field to share in the light display over the Borough with the colours of Independence Day 2017
