On Wednesday-7-June the St. Joseph's School in Bogota held their Graduation Exercises for the Eight Grade Class of 2017. This took place in St. Joseph's Church in front of Family and Friends. The 27 young Women and Men proceeded down the main aisle in white and green gowns, Sana Amjad gave the welcoming address, followed by Alexander Disla reciting the Opening Prayer. Next came addresses by Daniella Naham, Julia Fernadez, and Jordan Lavalle who talked about their time at St. Joseph's and the memories they will take with them in the next step of the Academic Careers.Then Principal Stella Scarano presented the Class of 2017 to Rev.Timothy Graff to be accepted from graduation. Each Graduate took their turn in to having their diploma handed to them by Father Graff, and receiving congratulations from Principal Scarano. After John Jabra accepted the final diploma of the evening he lead his follow graduates in moving his tassel from the left to the right as the sign of Graduation.
The next part of the evening was to award those graduate a number of scholarships and honours they have achieved. throughout the course of the 2016-17 school year. When all the awards had been handed out Principal Scarano took a moment to address the Graduates. She thanked the Students fro their hard work and dedication in the final year at St.Joseph's. She then thanked them, and all the Faculty, Parents for welcoming her to her first year as Principal. Camelia Achury then addressed the all the Parents on behave of the Class of 2017. She thanked them for all their guidance, patients and photographs during their school years. The Graduates then gathered at the front of the Altar and sang " Because You Loved Me" ann then presented their parents with a yellow rose. When the song was finished, Liana Rios gave the closing prayer and then the Class was 2017 paraded out of St.Joseph's Church to their next challenge.
