On Arbor Day 28-April the Bogota Environmental Commission award prizes for its fifth grade poster contest. Students from Steen, Bixby, and St.Joseph's school were given the assignment to create a poster on why trees are beneficial. The top four posters from each of the schools were selected, and the winning designs are on display in the Bogota Public Library near the Nikki Spiegel Storytime Corner. Students were also awarded a Douglas Fir tree seedling to plant in their own yard.
Councilwoman Daniele Fede and Bogota Mayor Chris Kelemen presented the honours.

3rd Place: Anabel Jimenez Lora
Honorable Mention : Isabel Michel
From Steen School:
1st Place: Adam Meberg
2nd Place: Marcus Ventura
3rd Place: Joseph Perpepaj
Honorable Mention: Makayla Douglas
From St. Joseph's School
1st Place: Myla Lois
2nd Place: Olivia Bardales
3rd Place: Nirvana Ramoutar
4th Place: J’Niles Simpson
