On Tuesday-28-February the #4 Bogota Men's Basketball Bucs hosted #13 North Warren in the first round of the NJSIAA North 1 Group 1 Tournament. Bogota got into early foul trouble, the first quarter, allowing the Patriots to score half of the points from the free throw line and take a one Point lead after eight minutes. North Warren again were given chance at making free throws, in the second quater, but this time the Bogota defense shut out their opponent from the field. The Bucs found their scoring an pumped 26 Points of their own to take a 37-22 lead into Half Time. In the third quater Bogota kept up their scoring pace and added another 25 Points on their way to a 84-47 first round win. Dieker Padrino had a game highs of 21 Points, including two Three Points Baskets. He was joined by Tim Uzor and Milad Khalil also hitting two Three Points Baskets a piece.
They next play #5 Paterson Charter School on Thursday 2-March in the second round. This will be played at home on the Jay Mahoney Court with a tip-off scheduled for 7:00p.
