In preparation of the possible severity of the weather forecast for Thursday 9-February the following announcements have been made.
All schools of the Bogtoa Board of Education will be closed.
St. Joseph's school will be closed
Trinity Lutheran School will be closed
Bogart Memorial School will be closed
An announcement of when these school will reopen at their regular class session will be made as the storm develops.
Municipal office will be closed. There are no schedules pick-up by the Bogota DPW on this day. Regular trash pick-up will be made on Friday if condition permit.
The Bogota Public Library will be closed.
NJtransit will run on a regular weekday schedule as conditions permit. Cross honouring of monthly pass will begin at 4:00 a Thursday-9-Feb
The Bogota Police Dept has issued the suspension of over night park on Borough Streets.
Vehicles WILL be able to park in the following locations ONLY:
WEST SIDE OF TOWN
All areas where overnight parking is permitted. This includes Orchard Terrace, West Fort Lee Road, West Grove Street (between Elm Ave and Linden Ave). In addition, the WEST SIDE of Larch Avenue will be used for additional needs of residents.
EAST SIDE OF TOWN
All areas where overnight parking is permitted. This includes West Shore Avenue (angled parking only, railroad track side), Ridgefield Avenue, East Fort Lee Road, Leonia Avenue, and Palisade Avenue (in front of 15 Palisade Avenue).
Resident are reminded that 18 hours after the last snow has fallen sidewalks must be clear of snow in front of resident and business. Any property with a Fire Hydrant located near it is asked to clear the area around the hydrant for access by the Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. Snow may not be shovel, or blown onto public streets.
