28-Nov. to 12 -Dec
The Second Grade from Steen School will be sponsoring a food drive to support the St. Joseph's Food Bank. This will take place from Monday-28-November to Monday-12- December. They will be accepting nonperishable food items such as: Canned goods, Cereals, Pasta, Boxes of Potatoes, Rice & Stuffing. They will also be accepting Baby foods, Diapers and wipes.
Donations can be dropped off to the Main Office at Steen School during regular school hours from 8:00a to 3:00p. Monday through Friday. The Main entrance is located at 134 W. Main St Bogota, NJ

October to December
Monday -3- October will be the start of Leaf Season. Home Owners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street , along the curb, in front of their residents. It is ask that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding , or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -19- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

Bogota
The Bogota Public Library will host a workshop on the culture and art from West Africa. Part of this will be learning and creating clay masks. This is open to Students ages 7-11 and will take place in the second floor Senior Centre starting at 7:00p

The Bogota Recreation Department will host their annual Tree Lighting in front of Borough Hall. This will take place that evening, weather permitted. There will be singing of Carols, raffle prizes, and a visit from Santa Claus to help light this years tree. Afterwards cookies and Hot Chocolate will be served in the Broad Street Fire House.

The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. Teaneck, NJ
The Bogota Emergency Services Youth Academy will have the premier of their movie highlighting Class 06. This will take place at the Cedar Lane Cinema with a curtain time of 7:30p. Academy Alumni from all previous classes are invited to attend. This premier is also open to Family, Friends and the Public. There will be no admission charged. Preorders for a DVD of the class 06 movie will be accepted at this time. DVD's will be priced at $10.00
