Friday-1-April Two teachers from Steen School were honoured with the Little Ferry VFW post # 809 National Citizenship Award. Music Teach Cathy Allen and Physical Education Teacher Terry Ciccone were nominated for the award by Principal Christine Giancola.
Saturday 2-April The Steen PTO organized a cleanup and refurbishing of the Student Garden. This year will mark the tenth year of the Steen Garden Club started by Steen second grade teacher Mrs Geraghty.
Thursday 7-April The Senior Class of Bogota High School held the first of its kind raffle and Fashion Show. This was held in the High School Cafeteria with process going to the Class of 2016 Fund.
Monday -18-April the Bogota, Ridgefield Park, Montvale team of the Police Unity Tour held a fundraising dinner and raffle at the 101 Pub in Bogota. This was to raise money for the 2016 Police Unity Tour in May of 2016. Processes from the ride will go to the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial and Museum, in Washington DC.
April Bogota resident and Student Olivia Burnett appeared on the Spring season of the Food Network show" Chopped Junior".
Saturday-23-April Bogota Beautiful hosted their second annual Earth Day clean-up. Over 100 volunteers ignored the clouds and drizzle to clean parts of Olsen Park, W. Main St, around the High School and the railroad crossing at Ft. Lee Rd
Friday-29-April Members of the Junior and Senior Class of Bogota High School were witnesses to a reenactment of a motor vehicle accident caused by an impaired driver. The Bogota Advisory Committee of Substance Abuse (BACSA) in conjunction with the Bogota Office of Emergency Management staged a simulation of a drunk driving accident. This took place at Feigel Field in front of the Student of Bogota High School.
Tuesday- 3- May Florence Kelemen passed away. She is considered a true First Lady. She was Married to Mayor Alexander Kelemen and Mother of current Mayor Chris Kelemen and Kerry Roche
Monday 2-May The Bogota Ralph Hall VFW post #5561 held their annual Loyalty Day Observances.This is a day that is use to recognize the heritage of American Freedoms.
Thursday 12-May Repaving of W. Ft.Lee rd took place. The section of streets covered started at the Dillard Bridge over the Hackensack River to the intersection of W. Ft. Lee rd and River rd. The entire intersection was repaved for an even surface. The repaving continued South on River rd to just beyond Bogota Garden, and before Munn Ave. The rest of River rd up to the Quikcheck store will be the next section to be repaved. That portion of River rd has already been milled to await a new surface.
Friday 21- May The Music Dept. of Bogota High School held their Spring Concert.
Sunday-22-May The Friendship House of Hackensack held their 10th annual Wellness Walk in Olsen Park.
Tuesday -24- May St. Joseph's School presented their Spring Concert. This featured performances that included all grade levels from Pre-School to the eight Grade class of 2016
Thursday-27-May The Borough Council approved the move last week, and the agreement is expected to be finalized early next week, said Mark Veenema, director of emergency medical services for Holy Name.
Wednesday 25- May the Bogota Junior / Senior High School induction it's first every class to the National Junior Honor Society. 25 Students from the seventh & eight grades made up the inaugural class from Bogota High School.
Monday 30-May The Borough of Bogota held their annual Memorial Day Parade.
May The apartment complex at 297 Palisades Ave began excepting tenets. The property on the site of the former Dewey School is now named Lafayette-Dewey.
Friday-3-June A private company hired by the Bogota school district found lead and copper at levels above federal safe drinking-water standards in seven water samples from Bogota High School and the field house.
Sunday 5-June The ARC of Bergen & Passaic Counties held their 19th annual " Step up for the ARC Walk" in Olsen Park Bogota.
Sunday 5-June St. Joseph's Church in Bogota held a special mass to honour St. Joseph's School Principal James Newman on his service to the school. After eight years of being the
Principal of St. Joseph's School Mr. Newman will retire from his duties as an educator.
Friday 10- June The St.Joseph's School held their graduation Ceremony for the eight grade class of 2016.
Saturday 11-June Bogota Beautiful hosted the first " Walk with the Mayor" through Bogota. This was a chance for everyone to enjoy a walk with Bogota Mayor Chris Kelemen to see the sites of the borough close up.
Saturday 11-June The Bogota Community Garden held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the garden to the public.
Saturday 18-June The Bogota Police Dept held a dedication of the new mural on the facade of their headquarters building. The painting depicts a "Thin Blue Line" flag waving in a breeze. It was painted by Artist Scott Lobaido and commission by the group Brothers Before Others.
Tuesday 21-June Steen School graduated their Sixth Grade Class of 2016. Ms Kathy Allen was presented with a plaque on her years of work as the Music Teacher for the Elementary Schools in Bogota.
Wednesday-22-June Bixby School graduated their Sixth Grade Class of 2016. This was held in the Bixby Courtyard.

Thursday 23-June The Bogota High School graduated it's 89th Senior Class. This was held at Feigel Field during an early Summer Sunset.
Thursday 30-June The Bogota First Aid Squad was officially disbanded and replaced with service from Holy Name Hospital's
