October to December
Monday -3- October will be the start of Leaf Season. Home Owners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street , along the curb, in front of their residents. It is ask that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding , or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -19- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

The 70th North Jersey Band Festival at Montclair State University was rescheduled to this date to due to weather cancellation on 30-Oct.
The Bogota Marching Buccaneer Band will participate in the 70th North Jersey Band Festival at Montclair State University. The events starts at 4:30p with Bogota scheduled to be the fourth band to perform. ( Rain date will be Sunday -6-November also at 4:30p). Bogota has been the only High School band to attend all 70 festivals. Tickets are $10.00 in advance, and $15.00 at the gate. parking cost $6.00 . Tickets may be purchased from any band member. The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. This is designed to have a moment of relaxation by joining other for some cookies & coffee while passing the time to do some colouring. This is open to anyone 16 years of age or over. This is Election Day 2016 , the polls are opening at 6:00a and remain open until 8:00p.
Bogota Public Schools are closed due to the need for them to be polling stationsPolls are located at the at :-- For Districts 1& 6 it is the Bogota Recreation Center at 162 W. Main St.
Districts 1&6 is that part of the Borough located West of the Railroad tracks.
-- For Districts 2&3 it is the Gym of Bogota High School at 1 Henry Luthin Pl. please use the door towards the back of the building on the North side of the Building.

Volleyball- # 1 Bogota will host #16 North 13th Street Tech From Newark, NJ in a 2016 NJSIAA Group 1 Tournament second round match. This will be played on Wednesday and will take place in Bogota at Speary Gym. It has a schedule start time of 7:00p.
Saturday-5-Nov
Cross Country- State Sectional meet at Holmdel Park Holmdel, NJ
Football- vs North Arlington at Feigel Field. This will be the Senior Game with a kickoff schedule for 2:00p
