On Wednesday 19- October held their month board meeting.
New items talked about was their participation with the Bogota Fall Festival to be held in Olsen Park on Saturday-29-October. They are looking to arrange for ten volunteer to assist with this event. Anyone wishing to volunteer will be required to arrive at the Bogota Recreation Center at 11:00a to help set-up and stay after 5:00p for clean-up. Any High School Student who Volunteer will receive Community Service Credit. The Fall Festival will start at 12:30p with a costume parade from Steen School to Olsen Park. At Olsen Park there will be food, Hayrides, Bounce House, Face Painting and a Pumpkin Patch were Students can pick their own pumpkin and decorate them there. All activities will be free of charge and open to the Public.

The another event announced was the next walk with the Mayor. This will be on Saturday -19-November starting at 10:00a. This is the latest event to promote in Heath and Wellness within Bogota. This walk will highlight the recent resolution by the Bogota Board of Education and the Borough Council on designating Bogota as a " Stigma-Free-Zone" This is to raise awareness of the problem that people suffering from with any type of mental
illness. The goal is to raise awareness of the disease of
mental illness and create a culture wherein residents who have the
disease feel supported by their community and neighbors and feel
free to seek treatment for the disease without fear of stigma.
This will start and end at the Picnic Pavilion in Olsen Park. Before the walk a number of speakers will talk about how to assisting those suffering to feel welcomed and equal. This is a free event open to the public .
They are looking for six volunteer to assist with this event. Anyone wishing to volunteer will be required to arrive in Olsen Park at 9:00a to help set-up and stay for clean-up. Other items was that the winner of the Bogota Best Curb appeal will be announced on Sunday 30-October. This will able to be accessed on their website.

Anyone wishing to volunteer to work as part of the creative team for their Production of "High School Musical" there will be a meeting on Wednesday 26-October starting at 8:30p in the Kennedy Emergency Service Building. It will take place on the second floor of 69 W. Main St. Bogota, NJ This is open to anyone who would to assist in their Musical production for Spring or Summer of 2017. They are looking for leadership in all area of Musical Theatre including, but not limited to Musicians, Actors, Directors, Set Construction and backstage personal as well as promotion and fund raising.
