Some charity fundraisers being held by Bogota organizations.
On Friday -16- September the Bogota Police FOP Lodge # 161 is hosting a Pasta Dinner. This will be held in the Main Hall of the Bogota VFW Post #5561. Ticket are $10.00 per person and will include Pasta & Meatball dinner, Bread, soft drinks and deserts. Process from this event will go to support the FOP Lodge 161 charity fund. Sgt Geoffrey Cole of the Bogota Police says the Officers would like to try a more community event in order to raise money. In past years the FOP have send out mailing request for donation. Sgt Cole spoke of the concern that resident may have with giving to an unsolicited mailing. He feels that an community event will allow the public to meet the officers who are overseeing the donation and be reassured of where there donation is going. Some of the FOP causes are a Secret Santa during the Christmas season as well as Scholarships Bogota High School Seniors. Tickets will be available at the door, tickets may also be purchased in advance at Bogota Police Headquarters located on Henry Smith Way Bogota, NJ.

Saturday-17-September The Bogota Bucs Cheer Squad are have an Gold for Childhood cancer event. This will take place the the Bogota Football Bucs Home Opener against Wood-Ridge at Fiegel Field. The Cheerleaders will be raising awareness to help prevent Childhood cancer and collecting money to assist St. Jude's Children's Hospital. They ask that anyone attending this game to wear gold to Support Bogota Football and to Support the fight against Childhood cancer.

On Thursday 22-September The Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. Hook & Ladder Co. #1 and Engine Co. #1 will hold their annual Blood Drive. . This event will take place at the West Broad St. Firehouse next door to the Police Headquarters. The drive will start at 3:00p and go to 8:00p, and is being co-sponsored by the Community Blood Services. Along with the collection of red blood cells as well as blood platelets. The blood cells are use for transfusions for anyone who need to replenish their system due to an accident or surgery. Platelets are use to aid in blood clotting that are use for those going through cancer treatments , or organ transplants. On Sunday- 29- September Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept Hook & Ladder Co. #1 will be hosting a Pancake Fundraiser at Applebee's restaurant. This will take place from 8:00a to 10:00a with tickets price at $10.00 per person. price will include pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and refreshments.
