On Thursday 15-September before the regular Bogota Borough Council meeting took some time for some special duties. After the Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Chris Kelemen asked those in attendances to remain standing to remembers the victims of Sept.-11-2016 and to think about those first responders who answered the call of duty on that day.
The next item was the swearing in of Scott Woegens as the new Coordinator of the Bogota Office of Emergency Management. Also sworn in was Peter Faller as Deputy OEM coordinator as well as safety inspector for the Borough of Bogota. Both men are long time members of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. Both have also served as Chief of the Dept at various time.
