On Thursday Morning the Bogota Dept. Public Works started to remove excess snow from the streets of the Borough. After Mid-night on Thursday crews worked on W. Main Street between Elm Ave and Larch Ave. Street parking area and much of the sidewalks had their snow removed. Then de-icer was spread to prevent the re -freezing of any melted snow. Later in the morning crews worked in front of Borough Hall and the Library to clear Larch Ave to assist access to those public Building.
The snow was hauled off to the Swim Club parking lot to slowing melt in the sun. Placing the melting snow water on the gravel will filter the melt water to prevent chemicals from flowing into the Hackensack River.
