On Wednesday 6- January the Bogota Bucs Wrestling team travel to Becton for their meeting with the Wildcats. Bogota Wrestlers won 6 out of the 14 bouts losing to Becon 30-45. Michael Martinez, Boula Takla, Danny Gonzalez, and Evan Schroer all scored pin fall victories.
Bogota next match is on Friday -8-January against Elmwood Park at Home in Speary Gym. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00p
On Thursday 7-January the Bogota Basketball teams played Palisades Park. The Men's team traveled to Palisades Park and came away with a 62-42 victory. Bogota lead throughout the first half ending the second quarter with a 36-19 lead. They continued building on their lead with double digits scoring in all four quarters. This will moves their record to 5-2. Andrew Riad had a team high with 16 Points, 15 of those where part of Mr Raid team high 5 Three Point baskets. Deiker Padrino lead Bogota with 9 Rebounds.
They next play Emerson on Tuesday 12-January at Speary Gym with the tipoff scheduled for 7:00p
The Lady Bucs played Palisades Park at home. Bogota outscored the Lady Tigers in the first quarter, with Palisades Park reversing that in the next eight minutes. Bogota was still able to have a 11-10 lead at halftime. Palisades Park took a small lead in the third quarter only to have the Lady Bucs tie the score at 15. During a change of Bogota Coach Damian Kennedy called a timeout and drew up a play which allowed Emma O'Brien to sink a three point shoot which was the start of a 16 straight points Bogota would score on their way to a 33-19 win. Bogota's record is now 2-5. Tatiana Bruno had a game high 15 Points , with Ms O'Brien and Gwenth Trujullo recording 1 Three Point Basket each.
They next play at Emerson on Tuesday 12-January with a 7:00p tipoff
