The collection of unused , or old string Holiday lights has been extended to Friday 8-January-2016. This is the recycling project sponsored by the Bogota Green team and Bogota Beautiful. The lights will be collected by the Home Depot and they will donate $1.00 for each string collected. These donations will go to help fund the Bogtoa Beautiful spring planting. The Bogota Public Library is one of number of stations that will have boxes dedicated to the collect string lights to be recycled. A collection drop is for old, non-working holiday string lights. Other string light drop-off points are Borough Hall, All three of the Bogota Public Schools and the Bogota Dept. of Public Works. On Monday 21- December the Bogota Public Library hosted a winter crafting event. Cali Skrich showed the participants how to make a decorative snowman from a small flower pot and plastic spoon. The Crafters then used their own imagination and skill to create a personalized decoration for their homes.
