The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

The Bogota Public Library will have the following programs:

The #1 Bogota Lady Bucs will play their Quarterfinal Match against #8 Cedar Grove with a schedule start of 7:00p. This will be played at Home in Speary Gym.

Bogota Beautiful will hold their Community Potluck Dinner. This will be held on Tuesday 10-October and will start at 7:00p. They will be co-hosting this event with the Bogota Public Library. This will be a chance for residents of Bogota to have an informal dinner together before the Holiday season starts. Anyone wishing to donate a dish is ask to have it represent a part of their background. Dishes can be an appraiser, main course, or side dish, or a desert. Anyone donating a food item will receive complimentary admission. All dishes must arrive ready to serve, due to limited kitchen space. Donations should be in a half tray. Addition information about how the donationed food item should be prepared will be given to those who register. Anyone wishing to donate a dish must register with Bogota Beautiful in order to limit the amount of duplicate items. Seating will be limited to 90 people. They are also looking for volunteers to help with decorating, and set-up. The Volunteers will also assist in accepting the donated items, serving, and cleanup. Any one who volunteers will be required to work from 6:00p to 10:00p. Any student who volunteers will receive community service hours for the time worked. The dinner will be held in the Senior Center on the second floor of the Bogota Library located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
Admissions will be $5 person or $10 Family to have dinner, and enjoy the evening event.

The Bogota Board of Education will have their scheduled work meeting. This meeting will take place in the Cafeteria of the Bogota High School and start at 7:30p . The Public is invited to attend this meeting. The Cafeteria is located on the second floor of the High School at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ. This meeting is open to the public. The final Strategic Planning meeting originally scheduled for this day will now be held on Tuesday 8-December following the regular Board meeting. The Board of Education meeting will be held at 6:00p this day.

The Bogota VFW Ralph Hall Post # 5561 will host its 52nd annual Veterans Day ceremony. This is a chance for the citizens of Bogota to show their thanks and appreciation for what the members of the Armed Services both past & present mean to the Country. Doors open at 6:30 pm, ceremony starts at 8pm. It includes announcement of Bogota's citizen of the year and its young volunteer award. Please come by for the ceremony, there will be refreshments served afterwards. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. The Ralph Hall post is located at 240 Leonia Ave. Bogota, NJ

On Saturday 14- November the Borough of Bogota, in conjunction with the Bogota Police department will the Street in front of the Police headquarters in honour of former police Chief Henry J Smith. This will take place at Bogota Borough Hall starting at 1:00p
Chief Smith served 38 years on the Bogtoa Police force. He first came on the job in 1956 After serving in the navy during World War II. He was promoted to Chief in 1982 and served in that post until his retirement in 1988. Chief Smith passed away in 2013.

For the month of November the Fit Club will move it's workout sessions to the The Kennedy Emergency Service Building located at 69 W. Main St. Bogota, NJ
