The next program in the Bogota Library's Smartypants Series will be a presentation of the Wit & Wisdom of Abraham Lincoln. This will be acted out by Mr. Robert Gleason portaiting The 16th President. This will take place in the Second Floor Seniors Center starting at 6:00p

The Bogota Library will host a Pumpkin painting event starting at 11:00a This is open to anyone who has their own Pumpkin to paint. The Library will supply the paints , and idea, Pumpkins (limit one per painter) must be brought by the artist.

The Bogota Public library have extended their fitness club Saturday session into September. The schedule starting time is still 10:30a to 11:30a. This will incorporate a number of different techniques from the "Team Beachbody® Fit Clubs". This will be a free event to anyone 18 years or older. All fitness levels are welcomed. Anyone who attends must bring their own Yoga mat, towel, and water bottle. Comfortable exercise clothes are recommended. Read to Maggie the Beagle returns for her Fall reading program. She will be available to help your child foster their love of reading by letting them be Maggie's Reading Buddy. Come on down, pick out a book, and read to Maggie in the Children's Section. The time will be at 4:00p stating in September, and throughout the School Year. The reorganize Bogota Boy Scouts Troop # 66 will hold their first meeting. This will be the kick-off to the new Bogota Troop 66. The meeting will take place at St. Joseph School starting at 5:30p. Any male Bogota Student aged 7 years or older and are currently in Grades 1-5 are welcomed to join. The meetings will be held in St.Joseph's but the troop is opened to Students from all of the schools in Bogota.
This is a reincarnation of the previous Bogota Troop 66, which merged with a Troop from Hackensack several years ago. Troop 66 has been reactivated as a number of Parents have expressed an interest in having a troop in Bogota. Their meetings will be held early evenings on Monday's to have it easier for the Scouts to attend. For more information on the first meeting, or how to join please contact: Natalie Bergamini at 732-672-9948 or Melissa Schnipp at 201-739-6718. They are also looking for any Parents who would want to Volunteer to work with Troop 66

The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
