Read to Maggie the Beagle returns for her Fall reading program. She will be available to help your child foster their love of reading by letting them be Maggie's Reading Buddy. Come on down, pick out a book, and read to Maggie in the Children's Section. The time will be at 4:00p , and be held throughout the School Year. The reorganize Bogota Boy Scouts Troop # 66 will hold their first meeting. This will be the kick-off to the new Bogota Troop 66. The meeting will take place at St. Joseph School starting at 5:30p. Any male Bogota Student aged 7 years or older and are currently in Grades 1-5 are welcomed to join. The meetings will be held in St.Joseph's but the troop is opened to Students from all of the schools in Bogota.
This is a reincarnation of the previous Bogota Troop 66, which merged with a Troop from Hackensack several years ago. Troop 66 has been reactivated as a number of Parents have expressed an interest in having a troop in Bogota. Their meetings will be held early evenings on Monday's to have it easier for the Scouts to attend. They are also looking for any Parents who would want to Volunteer to work with Troop 66

The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

The Bogota Board of Education will have their regularly scheduled meeting and work session. This meeting will take place in the Cafeteria of the Bogota High School and start at 6:30p . The Public is invited to attend this meeting. The Cafeteria is located on the second floor of the High School at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ. This will also be the second Strategic Planning Meeting . Both are open to the Public. At the Planning meeting the Public is encourage take an active part of the planning process that will help shape the future goals of the Bogota Public Education System.

The Bogota High School PTO will host a Candidates debate for the 2015 Board of Education Elections. This will take place in the Bogota High School cafeteria starting at 7:00p.
