This will be the first Day of "Leaf Season" leaves , and grass cutting may be placed in the street along the curb for removal. Piles must not extained into the street that may affect traffic, and leaf piles must be clear of storm sewage , and drain to prevent flooding conditions. This will be the full week under the new collecting schedule. Trash will be collected Borough wide on Tuesday and Friday. Recycling will remain alternating between paper & plastics on Wednesday. This Wednesday 7-Oct will be a paper & Cardboard pick-up.

The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Volunteers members from the The Bogota Emergency Services will host a equipment display in the parking Lot of Valley National Bank starting at 6:00p

Bogota
The St. Joseph's Spirit Sprint originally scheduled for Saturday -3-October will now be held on Saturday 10- October. It will still start at 9:00a. The starting and finish line will be at the Bogota Recreation Center. Same day registration will be taken for a $30 entrance fee. Proceeds will go to Special Olympics and St. Joseph's School. This will be held rain or shine.

The Bogota Public library have extended their fitness club Saturday session into September. The schedule starting time is still 10:30a to 11:30a. This will incorporate a number of different techniques from the "Team Beachbody® Fit Clubs". This will be a free event to anyone 18 years or older. All fitness levels are welcomed. Anyone who attends must bring their own Yoga mat, towel, and water bottle. Comfortable exercise clothes are recommended. The Bogota VFW Ralph Hall post #5561 will be hosting a Oldies but Goodies fundraising concert in it's Upper Hall.
Ticket are available in advance for $20 per person. There is also sponsorship deals available for businesses who wish to contribute. Sponsorship deals will provide tickets to the concert, advertising in print in the Hall, and electronically during the pre-concert visual presentation. Deadline for sponsorship deals is Monday 5- October. For more information about the sponsorship deals please call 201-343-9693. Doors will open at 6:30p with the first performance scheduled to start at 7:00p
Tickets may be purchased at the door if available. All proceeds from this concert will go the VFW Post #5561 building and program fund.the post #5561 VFW with their effort to have a place where any Veteran who served their Country overseas to have a place to relax and be welcomed at.
