Once a week trash collection starts and continues until Spring 2016. Collection will be Monday and Tuesday. When a Holiday occurs on a Monday that days collection will be on the following Thursday.

The Bogota Public library have extended their fitness club Saturday session into September. The schedule starting time is still 10:30a to 11:30a. This will incorporate a number of different techniques from the "Team Beachbody® Fit Clubs". This will be a free event to anyone 18 years or older. All fitness levels are welcomed. Anyone who attends must bring their own Yoga mat, towel, and water bottle. Comfortable exercise clothes are recommended. Bogota Beautiful will have a preliminary ground breaking for their Community Garden starting at 10:00a. This will take place adjacent to the World War I Memorial on River Rd at W. Ft. Lee. Anyone wishing to Volunteer should go to: bogotabeautiful.com for more inforamtion.

The second annual St. Joseph's Spirit Sprint will start at 9:00a. The starting and finish line will be at the Bogota Recreation Center. Same day registration will be taken for a $30 entrance fee. Proceeds will go to Special Olympics and St. Joseph's School

This will be the first Day of "Leaf Season" Leaves , and grass cutting may be placed in the street along the curb for removal. Piles must not extained into the street that may affect traffic, and leaf piles must be clear of storm sewage , and drain to prevent flooding conditions.

The Bogota VFW Ralph Hall post #5561 will be hosting a Oldies but Goodies fundraising concert in it's Upper Hall.
Ticket are available in advance for $20 per person. There is also sponsorship deals available for businesses who wish to contribute. Sponsorship deals will provide tickets to the concert, advertising in print in the Hall, and electronically during the pre-concert visual presentation. Deadline for sponsorship deals is Monday 5- October. For more information about the sponsorship deals please call 201-343-9693. Doors will open at 6:30p with the first performance scheduled to start at 7:00p
Tickets may be purchased at the door if available. All proceeds from this concert will go the VFW Post #5561 building and program fund.the post #5561 VFW with their effort to have a place where any Veteran who served their Country overseas to have a place to relax and be welcomed at. Registration for the 2016 Bogota pageant will be on Sunday 18- October , and again on Sunday 25- October from 12:00 noon to 4:00p both days. Registration will be held at the Bogota Recreation Center located at 162 W. Main St. in Bogota, NJ. There is a $20 entrance fee. The categories are:
For the Little Miss & Mr. Bogota: Students from the age of 5 to 10 years old.
For the Teen Miss & Mr. Bogota: Students from the age of 11 to 14 years old.
For the title of Miss & Mr Bogota: Students from the age of 14 to 18 years old.
