On Friday 23-October the Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team played Midland Park at Speary Gym. Bogota came away with a 2-0 (25-17: 25-10) victory. Before the game Bogota Coach Brad DiRupo recognized the Senior players from Midland Park. He then talked about Senior Amanda Manzo. She has been the Lady Bucs primary setter for the past three season. Before bring Ms. Manzo forward Coach DiRupo focused everyone's attention to the 1500 play banner at the North end of Speary Gym where Amanda Manzo's name had been added for reaching that milestone earlier in the season. This has been accomplished even after she had suffered turn, ankles, and a mild concussion during her career. Then Ms Manzo was presented with a bouquet of flowers from the Coaching staff along with her Parents.
As for the game Ms. Manzo put Bogota ahead with half a dozen of her team high 14 Service Points, she also lead with 4 Aces, and 22 Assists. Samantha Gioiosa had 16 Kills, while Lisbeth Suarez anchored the defense with 12 Digs. They next play against Park Ridge on Tuesday 27-October at Speary Gym with the match scheduled to start at 4:00p.
