The Bogota Public Library is hosting a Summer Science series for Student in third grader or higher. The next session will be on Tuesday 25-Aug. starting at 4:00p. Advanced registration is required for each week, this is needed to determine the amount of materials needed for that week's session. There will be a different topic for each session , the session will continue throughout the Summer. This weeks topic will be exploring in 3-D

The Bogota Public Library will host an evening of Broadway Show tunes. This will be presented by Nina Deutsch who will perform and give insight to the Shows and Composers. There will also be a chance to sing along with one's favorite tunes.
This is schedule to start at 6:00p and is a free event, however the Library ask anyone wishing to attend make a reservation.

The Parents for Bogota Football will hold the Kick-off Dinner and Raffle at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Teaneck. This event is a chance to show support for the Bogota Bucs Football team. There will be a buffet Dinner, and raffle to help raise money to financially assist the Football program. The Parent for Bogota Football uses these funds by severing a Game day breakfast, sponsor players who need assistance in attending Summer camps, and other services to allow the players to focus on the game.

The Bogota VFW Post 5561 will be host a program for Women Veterans, and Active Duty members from any of the branches of the US Military. This called Vets Chat and Chew, it will be six sessions lasting two hours each. The first will take place on Wednesday 9-Sept. then continue for the following five weeks. This is a program to assist female members of the Armed Forces who would like to learn more about food, and proper nutrition, and the healing benefits from them. This will also be a chance for Veterans to relax, share stories, make new friends, and enjoy a shared dining experience. Space for each session is limited to 12 participants, there will also be a reimbursement of certain travel expenses if needed. Classes will start promptly at 6:30p. There will advice from nutritional consultants, and cooking lessons from Professional Chefs.
This is for Women Veterans, and Active Duty Military Women. However is anyone that may benefit from this program please forward this information to them as well.

Pro Wrestling is Magic returns to the Bogota VFW with "Ascendio". Doors will open at 7:15p and the opening bell scheduled for 7:45p with a number of title match on the card. Tickets are $10 per person in advance and $12 at the door. There will also be a VIP package available for $25 per person which will include guaranteed front row seating along with a Pro Wrestling Magic t-shirt. There is a limited number of front row seat available.

The Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept Engine Co. #3 will be sponsoring two performances of the Zerbini Family Circus. This circus is returning to Bogota after performing two show last year. The Big Top will again be set-up in the Eastern Section of Olsen Park with the main entrances on the W.Main St. ext side of the park. They will have two performance that night with the first starting at 5:00p and the second scheduled to begin at 7:00p. Advance ticket are now on sale for $10 per person and Student ( 12 years & younger) for $8:00p. These may be purchase at The Bogota Recreation Center, The Bogota Library or at Box Car bagels. Tickets will be available at the gate for $12 and $10 respectively.

Starting on Wednesday 23-Sept. and going until Saturday 26- Sept. The St.Joseph's Church will hold their 9th annual Carnival and Food Festival. They will be selling super 50/50 tickets for $25 /ticket. They are also looking for Volunteers to help with each day of the Carnival. The Bogota Band Parents Organization will be holding their annual Townwide Garage Sale as a fundraiser to assist the Bogota Marching Buccaneer band. This will take place at various location around Bogota. For a fee of $10 a seller's address will be placed on the Official map. MAps will be made available at the Bogtoa Public Library. The selling will begin at 10:00a and run until 4:00p . Fee's must be paid for on, or before Friday 11-September. Bogota Band Parents Organization uses these funds to help pay for transportation to away football games, and other event along with supplying lunch for the band members.
