The weekly " Meet the Mayor" event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayors office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

The Fine Arts Dept. of Bogota High School will have their awards dinner. This will recognise the achievements of Drama Club, The Choir, and Marching, Concert & Jazz bands along with the Colour Guard and Twirlers. Normally at this event the Drum for the Bogota Marching Buccaneer Band is announced. Also the newest members for the Bogota Chapter of the International Thespian Society are sworn in. This will take place in the Bogota High School Gymnasium and start at 7:00p. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to bring a dish for a potluck dinner. It is also that anyong bring a dish contact the the Bogota Band Parents at : bucsband@gmail.com

The Bogota Board of Education will have their regularly scheduled meeting and work session. This meeting will take place in the Cafeteria of the Bogota High School and start at 7:30p . The Public is invited to attend this meeting. The Cafeteria is located on the second floor of the High School at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ.

The Bogota Public Library will host its next Smartypants lecture. This will feature Dr. Jeffery Perry discussing the book " the Invention of the White Race" by Theodore Allen. The program is scheduled to start at 6:00p and will be held in the Senior Center Center located on the second floor of the Library located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ. The Bogota High School Drama Club will present " The Radio Hour" This will be scenes from radio dramas from the 1930's-40's acted out live. The featured shows will include " Little Orphan Annie" "Superman" and 'The Lone Ranger" This will take place in the High School Cafeteria with the doors opening at 7:30p Tickets are $5.00 per person and will include the Show and Dessert. The Bogota Recreation Commission is hosting Bogota Day 2015. This will take place in Olsen Park Bogota, NJ on Saturday 13-June. The event will kickoff at 12:00 noon with a performance be the Bogota High School Jazz Band. Music throughout the event will be provided by DJ Hector Martinez with the Sounds of Music. Some other entertainment that is scheduled will be" Triangulo" a New York dance studio dedicated to the art of the Argentine Tango. 'Dance3volution" a Hackensack dance school expanding the horizons of modern dance by including all form of dance. Just added is a Bogota based band, "As Glory Fades", they will be a Heavy Metal and Metalcore sound to the evening's entertainment. All performances will be at the Bandshell of Olsen Park. The rain date will be Sunday-14-June.

Pro Wrestling is Magic returns to the Bogota VFW. This will be the second event held at the Bogota VFW Post #5561 Hall after a successful first event in April. The Bogota Band Parents Organization will be sponsoring the first Bucstock Music & Arts Festival. This will feature local musical talents of current and graduates musicians of Bogota High School. There will also be a section of local Artist & Craftsperson displaying their work. Bogota Blog NJ will have a table at this event. This will be a fundraiser for both the Bogota High School Band , along with a portion of the proceeds going to Habit for Humanity in honour of Michael Granquist.
This will take place in the Main Hall of the Bogota VFW located at 241 Leonia Ave. Bogota, NJ. Tickets are $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door. Students 5-12 and Seniors are $6.00 . To purchase tickets, or for more informationplease visit their website at: www.bucsband.com
