  The Bogota Green team is holding it's annual shredding event on Saturday 27- June at the Bogota Recreation Center. This will run from 9:00a to 1:00p. This is a chance for  anyone who wishes to dispose of sensitive, or other personal business documents in an environmentally safe and secure way.  A secure shredding truck will be onsite for the receiving of those documents  being disposed of.  They will be shredded as they are loaded into the truck. Camera in the truck can be view by anyone wishing to see that their documents are reduced to slivers of paper. After leaving Bogota the truck then processes to a burn centre where the refuse is then turn into  paper pulp power which is then recycled into other paper produces.
   Volunteers will be on hand to assist anyone who needs help bring their documents to the shredding truck. The Bogota Recreation Center is located at 162 W. Main St. Bogota, NJ. For more information please visit the official Bogota Borough website at;  http://www.bogotaonline.org/

  On Friday-12-June  Members of the Bogota Police Dept. And Students from St. Joseph’s School took part in the Bogota section of the Torch Run for New Jersey Special Olympics .members of the Bogota team took charge of the torch from the Teaneck runners at Hendrick Park near the Bogota -Teaneck border. The Bogota route continue along Palisade Ave to E. Main St They then turn East on to Main to pass the torch back to the Teaneck Runners on Degraw Ave. Processes from this run goes to  support the Special Olympics of New Jersey.     On Saturday 14-June Wrestling is Magic returned to the Bogota VFW hall.  This is the second  wrestling event stage at the Bogota VFW post #5561 hall. Wrestling is Magic is a local promotion trying to grow in Bergen, County. They offer the Showmanship of Professional Wrestling while still maintaining a personal and close relationship with their fans. They have found that the Bogota VFW post allows them highlight their Athletes in a way they can still be accessible to the public.   In a show of unity that categorizes  the Fraternity of Professional Wrestlers, before the event began, the Wrestlers, Referees, and support personnel  from Wrestling is Magic  gather around the ring to listen to   Jimmy Noonan  pay tribute to the late  Dusty Rhodes who passed away earlier in the week.  There was then a moment of Silence as the ring bell rang to honour the Classic Wrestler. Then the event continued as scheduled. It was also announced that the next Wrestling card at the Bogota VFW will be held on Friday 18-September.
