On Thursday 19-March the Bogota Public Library had a mask painting workshop. Erik Attia & Rustin Hall provided blank masks, paint, feathers and other decoration so people could personalised their own masks. A mixed group of Student and Adults took part in creating one of a kind works that can be worn. Mr. Hall also showed how they make their mask. Starting with a clay model, which then is use to form a negative mold. The negative is then layered with gesso covered paper to form the mask itself. A number of Students added their own layer of paper to the example.
After masked were paints flowers , or other decoration was added, and the final step was ribbon was attached to let the maker wear their new work of art.
