Bogota Blog NJ along with Bogota Beautiful is starting a drive to collect gift cards in order to help the Citizens of Edgewater, NJ. With the assistance of Bogota Mayor Chris Keleman there will be a collection box located in Borough Hall in the secretary's office. Some updates from local officials about the weather situation over the next several days.
-The Bogota Board of Education has announce that Monday 26- Jan. will be a half day with an early dismissal.
-Bogart Memorial School has announce it will be closed on both Monday & Tuesday 26 & 27 Jan due to the weather situation.
-The Bogota Police Dept has issued the following alert:

Advisory: Borough Residents are reminded when 2 inches of snow or more have accumulated Parking Prohibited on ALL Streets.

SNOW PARKING REGULATIONS 7-3.10 Parking Prohibited When Streets Are Covered with Snow. a. No vehicle shall be parked on any streets or highways or portions thereof whenever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that at least two (2) inches of snow cover the street or highway. b. The above parking prohibitions shall remain in effect after the snow has ceased to fall and until the streets have been plowed sufficiently so that parking will not interfere with snow removal activities and with the normal flow of traffic. When the Borough of Bogota or Bogota Police Department declare a Snow Emergency the Bogota Police Department will not give permission to park overnight. The following areas have been designated to park in Snow Emergencies: EAST SIDE of Palisade Avenue or WEST SIDE of Larch Avenue or EAST SIDE of West Shore Avenue Parking in any other restricted areas will result in a citation as provided for in Boro Ordinance 7-3.6 Your cooperation during Snow Emergencies will assist the Borough of Bogota Department of Public Works in quickly returning our roads to be passable and safe.
