Bogota Blog NJ along with Bogota Beautiful is starting a drive to collect gift cards in order to help the Citizens of Edgewater, NJ. With the assistance of Bogota Mayor Chris Keleman there will be a collection box located in Borough Hall in the secretary's office. The secretary's office will be open during normal business hours which are from Monday to Thursday from 8:00a to 5:00p. Bogota Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ
They will be available to accept gift cards to be given to those displaced by the fire on Wednesday 21- Jan. Edgewater officials have said that they will prefer to have monetary donation be made in the form of Gift Cards which will be easier to distribute. The Bogota Borough office will accept any type of gift card that can be used at any local business. Any major company gift cards such as American Express, Mastercard and Visa. Any gift cards from dept. stores, Target, Kohles, JC Penney to CVS, Walgreen and any of the major grocery stores Shoprite, Stop&shop, Wholefoods will be accepted. This is not limited to these companies but any Gift Card must be able to be accepted universally.The resident of the Bogota are ask to donate in the amount they feel comfortable with. It is hoped that at least once a week a delegation from Bogota will present the donated card to the Citizens of Edgewater from the Citizens of Bogota to show their support for fellow New Jerseyans. Members of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept and other Volunteer Emergency Service have already help in fighting the fire and keeping from spreading throughout Edgewater. Now an even harder job is, to help those who have probably lost most everything, to regain their lives back with the support of the Citizens of Bogota.
