On Sunday 5- Oct. the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bogota held their annual " Blessing of the Animals" service. There was mostly dogs of different size & colour with one rabbit and a cat doll named Tom. Pastor Peter Olsen's sermon focused on the love and joy that animals can give to Humans. How family pets can hold a special bond with their Humans, and how interconnected the all living things are to each other. He continued by saying that the act of holding dominion over Earth comes with the responsibility to take care of the Earth for all the creatures that inhabit it. The one by one the animals along with their Humans came forward to receive a blessing from Pastor Olsen.
After the service there was a show by Joe D'Angeli from the Wildlife Conservation and Educational Center in Ridgefield Park, NJ. He brought out a Blue Tongue skink, and Milk Snake, and other animals to look at and to teach the Students & their parents more about more exoctic animals of the World.
