The Bogota Lady Bucs won a three game match 2-1 (25-19 : 16-25: 25-21) against West Morris Central Lady Wolfpack on 24- Sept. at Speary Gym. After leading throughout the first game Bogota had a 8-4 lead in the second. Then the Lady Wolfpack went on a long scoring streak to take control of that game. The Lady Bucs suffered through a series mental errors which West Morris was able to take advantage of. In the Third game again Bogota had a 8-4 lead, and again West Morris was able to tie the game. This time the Lady Bucs were able to stayed focus to keep from falling behind. The game processed as a back and forth affair until a few Casey Gillespie service points put Bogota ahead for good. Then Samantha Gioiosa finished the win off for Bogota. Miss Gioiosa had a game high 18 Kills, and team high of 14 Digs. Amanda Manzo lead with 32 Assists. While Kelliann Brown lead the team with 4 Blocks to go with 2 Aces. Casey Gillespie & Amanda Manzo also scored 2 Aces of their own.
Bogota next plays on Saturday 27- Sept. in the William Patterson Tournament at William Patterson University in Wayne , NJ. This will start at 8:30p. Thier next league game will be against Saddle River Day School on Tuesday 30-Sept. at Speary Gym with a 4:00p start.
