The Bogota Junior Bucs Football teams , and the Rec. Cheerleaders held a Carwash at the Bogota Recreation Center. The Senior Players took care of the washing & rinsing, while the younger teams had the duty of drying off the cars and some finishing touches. The Cheerleaders took turns to encourage drivers to stop in for an end of summer clean-up, as well as offered some homemade baked goods & refreshment as the drivers waited for their cars to be finished. Mayor Tito Jackson along with Councilwoman Lisa Kohles & Councilman John Mitchell were among the drivers who stopped in to help support the Junior Football & Cheerleading programs.
The night before was the opening game for the Junior Bucs as they traveled to Englewood. All three teams ended up on the losing end with the Pee-Wees suffering a 6-26 loss. The Junior Team was shut-out 0-19, and the Senior team had a 14-26 . The next play Palisades Park on a game that is now going to be playing on Sunday 21-Sept. The Pee-Wee game will start at 1:00p with the other two games to follow.
On Friday 19-Sept. there will be a Pep-Rally for the Junior Bucs Football teams. This will be held at the Softball field in Olsen Park. It is Scheduled for a 7:00p start.
