Some events happening in and around Bogota for the week starting Monday- 21-July.
On Tuesday 22-July the Bogota Police Emergency Service Youth Academy will be holding their Graduation for Class 04. This will take place in the Gym at Steen School. This is open to the public. While this is for the Families of the Cadet to see their Children graduate from one of the finest Youth Academy's in New Jersey. This is open to the public so any resident of Bogota can see and learn what these Cadets have done for the past eight days. Some of these Cadet may go on to positions of leadership in the future, and this is where it will begin. The ceremony will begin at 7:00p. Steen School Gym is located off of Orchard Terrace Bogota, NJ.
On Wednesday to Friday 23-25 July Cover Stitches will be at the Bogota High School with uniforms for sale. This will take place again on Weds.-Fri 13-15 August. Both times will be from 2:00p to 7:00p.
Uniforms for both the Junior High School ( 7th& 8th grades) and the Senior High School ( grades 9-12) will be able to be purchased.
Shirts and fleece pullovers (with the school logo), shorts, slacks, skirts and Capri pants in colors beige or black by Dickies brand, are only permitted. Pants may be purchased through this vendor or any other that carries the Dickies brand. Hooded sweatshirts and “Skinny” pants are not permitted.
7-8th grade students must wear a gold colored shirt with the school emblem. 9-12th grade students have the option of purple, black or grey colored shirts with the school emblem. For more information please visit their web site at: www.backtoschooluniformstore.com

The City of Hackensack will start it's Summer concert series with The Infernos. This will take place at the Courthouse Green located across the street from the Bergen County Court House located at Main & Court Sts. Ridgefield Park, NJ
The next of the McGowan Park Summer Concert Series features a performance by Larry Umana & the Larry's Latin Jazz project. The Concert is schedule to start at 7:00p, with a rain date of the following day at the same time. Admission is free of charge,but it is recommended to bring a lawn chair, or blanket. This year Rosie's Weenie Wagon will be parked at curbside for food.

The Bergen County Historical Society invites the public to a Calico Frolic at 6:30 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Steuben House, Historic New Bridge Landing, 1201-1209 Main Street, River Edge, NJ 07661. Watch or join in old-fashioned country dancing to the musical accompaniment of Ridley and Ann Enslow on fiddle and hammered dulcimer. Dance Mistress Denise Piccino will instruct eager beginners in basic steps and movements at the start of the evening. Dancing continues until 9:30 PM, when guests may partake of lemonade, light refreshments.
