  The Fine Arts Dept. of Bogota High School will be holding their awards dinner on  Tuesday 10- June starting at 7:00p. It will be held at the Bogota  VFW Post  5561 Hall. This is located at 240 Leonia Ave Bogota, NJ. Awards will be given to members of the Bands, Choir, Drama & Art Clubs. This is open to all Parents and Students of those groups.   The Steen Hawk Band will be holding their Spring Concert starting at 7:00p. It will be held in the Steen Gym. Located off Orchard Terrace Bogota, NJ

The first Parent Orientation for Bogota Police  Emergency Services Youth Academy 11- June at 7:00p. The meetings will be held in the Bogota Senior Center located on the Second Floor above the Bogota Public Library located at 375 Larch Ave Bogota, NJ. It is mandatory that a Parent or Guardian of each Cadet attend one of the two meetings for that Cadet to participate in the Academy.

   The Drama Club of Bogota High School will present their Spring 2014 Showcase event. This will have a variety of different performance by members of the Bogota Fine Arts Dept.  The Acts will range from Comedy & Dramatic pieces, to Singing & Dancing, as well as Magic & Improvisation works. Admission is $5.00 which will include Dinner & Desserts. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Doors open at 7:15p with dinner being served at 7:30.

For Boys and Girls Entering Grades 1 thru 12 (as of September 2014)

When:   June 30, 2014 – August 1, 2014

Where:  Steen School 134 West Main Street 

                  Bogota, NJ 07603

Time:    Session 1 – grades 1 thru 6

   9:00am – 10:30am

     Session 2 – grades 7 thru 12

       11:00am – 12:30pm

Cost:     $35.00 per week or

   Special flat fee - $150.00 per five weeks

$100.00 second child

Starting on Monday 16-June work will resume on repairing the Upper deck of the George Washington Bridge.Three of four upper level bridge lanes will be closed in either the eastbound or westbound direction during the hours below:

• Monday to Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning
• Friday night from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday morning
• The work will also require several 10-15 minutes traffic holds during the hours above.

 NOTE: Closure hours will be adjusted to accommodate Yankee games and Meadowlands events.

Passenger vehicles should use the GWB lower level (which will be fully open to cash and E-ZPass) 

  Trucks are required to use the upper level at all times.

 Highway message signs, 511 and traffic reports will advise motorists in advance,

 which direction will be under construction (on any given night).
