On Tuesday 10- June the Fine Arts Dept. of Bogota High School held their 14th annual Awards Dinner at the Bogota post 5561 VFW Hall. Students from the Bands, Twirling, Drama, and Choir were honoured for their work over the past school year.
Twirling Director Leslie Baker recapped some of the awards the Bogota squad had won over the past year.
Band Director Barry McCann told of how the members of the Marching Buccaneer Band had to overcome lost & broken down Busses, detours, and the odd weather event to perform their music.
Directors Sabrina Albirt for the Drama Club and Wendy Hughes for the Choir gave out their awards to the performers from the School's production over the past school year. They also inducted 8 new members to the Bogota Chapter of International Thespian Society.
The members of the the bands gave out their own "special" with a personal one to Nellina who was serenaded with the singing of "Happy Birthday" her.
