Some updates of happenings that occurred in Bogota over the weekend of 5-6 April.
On Saturday 5- April Volunteers with the Bogtoa Green Team, and the Bogota Environmental Commission. Planted the extra trees that were donated to the Borough by the State of New Jersey as part of their Hurricane Sandy Tree Recovery effort. Trees that were not given to residents were planted in the Eastern Section of Olsen Park near the newer parking lot. Other went to the Bogota Tree Farm at Munn & Elm Ave. These were able to replace some sapling that did not survive the Winter. The Trees from the Tree Farm will be used in the future to replace any trees that need to be remove from the Borough's street or parks.
Also on Saturday two new business opened on W.Main Street. One is Meffashion located at 56 W. Main St. This is a Boutique for hair fashion and accessories. This is run by Lidwine Barham who can be contacted at 201-286-0085 or on Instagram @meffashion.
Another was Mangiamos Pizza. This was the former Mona Lisa Pizza, but now with an expanded dinner menu. The still offer free delivery at 201-883-0088
In addition to these new business The Robert Wilkens Co. moved into their expanded office at 52W.Main street. They made the move earlier in the year to be the first new business on W. Main St. in 2014. The Wilken company relocated to their new building to stay in Bogota They can be contacted at wilkensagency.com .
