The Bogota Junior Bucs Football will be holding sign-ups for the 2014 season This will be a chance to sign-up to join one of the three teams in Junior Football Program : All divisions are opened to Girls and Boys who live and attend any of the schools in Bogota.
- The Pee-Wee is for the youngest players which is for student from 2nd to 4th grade, and are under 11 years of age.
- The Junior division is for those players who are in 5th & 6st grade and are under the age of 13.
- The Senior division are those players who will be in 7th & 8th grade and are younger the 15 years of age.
All home game will be played at Feigel Field in Bogota.
The Junior Football teams as well as the Junior Cheerleaders are open the same age students from neighboring communities. Last season a number of girls from Teaneck successfully join in the Bogota squad.
During this event there will be a chance to sign-up to join the Junior Cheerleaders and will attend all of the Jr. Bucs games. The age groups for the Cheerleader are the same as the football players.

The Bogota VFW post # 5561 is having their annual Loyalty Day event . It is scheduled to start at 8:00p and id open to the public. This will be held at the Ralph Hall Post located at 240 Leonia Ave Bogota, NJ. Members of the VFW will present the winners of their " Voice of Democracy" and Patriots Pen" writing contest held in the schools of Bogota. They will also recognized the students who serve as volunteer members of the Safety Patrol.

The Bogota Borough Council will be holding a it meeting and work session in Council Chambers starting at 7:30p. The Public is invited to attend. The Council Chambers are on the second floor of Borough Hall located at 375 Larch ave. Bogota, NJ

BCHS EVENT:Battleground Tour of New Bridge Saturday, May 3, 2014 • 10 am Meet at the Steuben HouseOn Saturday, May 3, 2014, historian and author Kevin Wright will conduct a Battleground Tour of New Bridge, starting at 10:00 am in the Steuben House. The tour ends at the Campbell-Christie House for refreshments and gift shop. A Red Oak tree will be planted at Historic New Bridge Landing to commemorate the 350th Anniversary of the Founding of New Jersey in 1664. Wear walking shoes/boots. Bring binoculars to view the many birds and critters at New Bridge. Free parking is available or take a train on the Pascack Valley Line from Secaucus via NJ Transit to the New Bridge Landing Train stop. Meet at the Steuben House, Number 1 on the map. Marking the 11th anniversary of the Puffin Camera Club, canvas prints of photographs taken within the Teaneck Creek Park will be on view. The opening will feature photographer and Puffin Camera Club instructor Rachel Banai as well as its dedicated students who will be available for a Q&A panel.
