Due to the open house on Wednesday 29- Jan the Bogota Wrestling meet against Elmwood park has been moved to Weehawken H.S.starting at 7:00p The High School is located at 53 Liberty Pl, Weehawken, NJ.
The Bogota Boys Basketball team lost to Palisade Park by the score of 50-53 in overtime. Isiah Dela Cruz lead the Bucs with 15 Points, while Keith Buirkle can in with 4 three pointers. Mr. Dela Cruz also had a game high 7 Rebounds along with Mr. Buirkle with 6, and Danny Connors had 5 Rebounds This moves their record to 2-10. They next play at Emerson on Thursday 30- Jan. with a tip off time of 7:00p
The Lady Bucs Basketball team had their largest margin of victory of the season, and second win in a row with a 48-21 win over Palisade Park on Tuesday at Speary Gym. Bogota started the game by scoring the first 19 points of the game over a quarter and a half. The Lady Bucs took a half time lead of 31- 5 into the locker room. Some sloppy play and turnovers at the start of the third quarter forced Coach Kennedy to call a timeout to settle his team down. After that Bogota played with more control, and kept the pressure on the Lady Tigers to move their record to 3-9. Stephanie Prepepaj was the leading scorer with 23 points, while Carina Isip, and Kelliann Brown each connected on on three point shot.
Their next game is on Thursday 30-Jan at Speary Gym when they play Emerson with the tip-off at 4:00p
