On Friday Night the Borough of Bogota lite the tree in front of Borough Hall to help celebrate the Holiday Season. Before the main event the Recreation Commission had a train ride for any one who wanted to take a lap around Larch Ave. The Girls scout also sang some Christmas Carols to keep the Holiday crowd entertain until the Trucks from the Bogota Fire Dept came down the street. With their light blinking , and their sirens sounding they escorted the guest of honour who was given a ride on the refurbish Hook & Ladder #1 truck so he could wave to the Children as he approached Borough Hall. When Santa arrived in front of the building he made his way through the crowd wishing everyone well, and hugging those Children he passed. When Santa got to the front steps he thanked Mayor Tito Jackson for inviting to Bogota to help light the tree. Then Santa started the count-down and on the stroke of one the tree was lite up for all to see.
After that then Santa invited everyone to the Broad St. Firehouse next door for some Hot Chocolate & Cookies. While at the Firehouse Santa took time to pose with some children , and to find out what the wanted for Christmas. He stayed for anyone who wanted to photo then when off to go back to work for Christmas
