Results of the General Elections in New Jersey has the Borough of Bogota with an elected bi-party council for the first time in a number of years. Republicans Christopher Keleman & running mate John G.Mitchell defeating Democratic incumbents Wanda Uceta & Arthur Konigsberg,. Mr Kelemen was the top vote getter among the four Candidate with 1,120 votes. This leaves the Council make-up with 4 Democratic members with 2 Republicans. This is the first time since 2010 that an Republican will be seated on the Bogota Council.
In the Elections for School Board members Gloria Clark received the most votes 469 of the eight Candidates running for the three seats available. Incumbent Charles Severino, and Pauline McDonnell won the other two positions on the Board.
In State elections Incumbent Governor Chris Christie was re-elected to New Jersey's highest Office. For State Senator from the New Jersey 37th district Incumbent Loretta Weinberg won re-election along with Incumbent Assembly Members Valerie Huttle & Gordon Johnson.
Bergen County results Sheriff Michael Saudino won re-election as did the three incumbent members of the Board of Freeholders Maura DeNicola, John Felice, & John D Mitchell.
In ballot questions voters in Bergen County approve to allow the Open Space Trust Fund to purchase property in flood prone areas.
State ballot questions were also approved. They were to allow existing sources of Gaming Revenue to also be used to help support Veteran Organizations. The other question approved was that the State of New Jersey to raise the Minimum Wage in the State and base other increases on the cost of living .
