Some scores from Bogota sports
On Saturday the Bogtoa Junior Bucs Football had 1-2 weekend against Palisade Park. The Pee-Wee Bucs suffered a 6-19 loss in the first game. The Junior team was shut-out 0-24, while the Senior team posted a 19-13 win. They next play at Cliffside Park on Friday 18-Oct with the Pee-Wee Game scheduled to have a 6:00p kick-off with the other two game to follow.
On Monday the Cross Country squads ran in the NJIC Patriot Division Championships. The Boys squad placed second behind Cresskill. Quinn Geraghty placed fourth overall with Chris Rivera taking eighth and Andy Jaipersaud, and Michael Gioiosa finishing 10th & 11th. The Lady Bucs also finished second to Cresskill. Anais Fernandez finished fourth overall, and Jillian O'Brien taking fifth. Madeline Rivera with a tenth place finish.
The Bogota runners next meet is Saturday 26- Oct at the Bergen County Group Championships taking place at the Darlington Park racecourse.
The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team had a 2-0 (25-7 : 25-7) win at Speary Gym against Midland Park. This moves Bogota record to 14-3. Six Lady Bucs had 2 aces serving performance. Natalie Torres added 10 Service Points , 2 Kills, & 2 assist with her Aces. Carly O'Sullivan had 4 Service Points, 20 Kills and 2 Blocks along with her Aces. and Amandas Manzo also added to her Aces with 8 Service points and 26 Assists.
The Lady Bucs end their five match home stand as they host West Morris Central at Speary Gym on Wednesday 16-Oct. starting at 6:00p
