On Sunday the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bogota held their All Creatures Great & Small service. Normally held in Portico of the church it was moved downstairs because of the weather. Pastor Peter Olsen lead the gathering of Humans, and Animals with a sermon of how part of Human time on Earth is to help the protect nature, and allow all creatures to live, and prosper to make the World a better place to live. He also talked about how it may seems that only Humans are the ones taking care of their pets, but there is also the companionship and enjoy that a pet can give to their Human partners is just as important.
Then the animals , mostly Dogs with one lone Rabbit and a hand drawn picture of the cat by a girl who used it as a stand in for her Aunt's pet, were given a Blessing by Pastor Olsen. After the service there was a wild animal show by Joe D'Angeli from the Wildlife Conservation and Educational Center in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Mr. D'Angeli displayed some of the animals from the center so people can get a closer look at them, and learn more about other animals that inhabit the Earth.
