Throughout the last few weeks of August the Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball held their training camp in the Gym of Steen School. Coach Brad DiRupo worked on the basic positions he wants his team to be in during a match. Assisted by Arterm Makarenko players were moved around to see who would be the best at a positions in different points of a game. Coach Dirupo expressed his confidence in his returning players, and looking to add new ones to take the place of those who have moved on in their academic careers. The team also did physical training to keep the team in shape through out a season where the Lady Bucs can go on to have matches 4-5 in a row, or compete in Tournament when a team may have to face four opponents in two days.
The Lady Bucs themselves gave their coach a reason to be happy with his team by winning the Penn State Team Camp Tournament posting a record of 28-1. This was held at the end of the team camp held at the Pennsylvania State University and was attended by teams from not only New Jersey, but Maryland, New York, along with some from Pennsylvania as well.
The Lady Bucs get their season started off with a benchmark test by taking on Immaculate Heart Academy on Tuesday 10 Sept.
