On Friday evening the Bogota Police Emergency Services Youth Academy held their first Alumni cook out at the Bogota Swim Club pool. This was a chance for the Cadet Graduates to spend some time together in a relaxed setting. This also allowed the families get get a chance to meet each other, and to talk to some of the instructors on a personal level. Parents & Alumni took the time to thank Director Craig Lynch & Coordinator Anna Ferris on what the Academy did for them. Sgt Lynch & Ms. Ferris also thanked the Parents allowing them to train with their Children. As well as letting the former Cadets know how proud they are of the hard work, and learning the Cadets did while at the Academy. As Sgt. Lunch explained this is another part of showing the Cadet how they are now part of a different type of Family. This will be a growing part of Bogota, bringing members of the community together in a social way to get to know ones neighbors better. In this way, it is hope, at it will make the Borough a stronger place to live.
