On Saturday 15- June the Bogota Environmental Commission will be having a clean-up of the creek that runs along the back of the houses east of Elm Ave. This will run from the Main St. (Albert Graf Bridge) to the intersection of Elm Ave. at River Rd. The Bogota volunteer Rescue Squad, and volunteer Fire Dept. are taking part in this clean-up. The will also be help from the local Boy Scout troop, and other local groups.
The public is openly welcome to join this effort. The clean-up will begin at 9:00a and go until 11:00a, it is strongly advised that anyone wishing to help bring a sturdy pair of work gloves. Light refreshment will be available, but a personal water bottle is recommended as well.
This is another project of the Bogota Environmental Commission to help preserve the cleanliness of the Borough. Another project is the tree farm at the corner of Elm, & Munn Aves. These were planted in late April of this year, and will be located to parts of the Borough that needs them as the tree mature.
