This years Bogota Memorial Day celebration will be on Monday 27-May.
At 11:00a there will be the remembrance in front of the Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. This will be presented by the Bogota VFW Ralph Hall post # 5561, along with the Bogota American Legion Clifford Dunn post # 117. They will be support by both post's Ladies Auxiliary.
The Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. will also honour those members who have " Answered the final bell" before the main ceremonies.
Then starting at 2:00p will be the Bogota memorial Day Parade. This will start at Palisade at Cypress Ave. It will proceed along Palisades to E. Main St. crossing over the Ryan Memorial Bridge and make a right turn onto Elm Ave. It will then make a left turn onto Grove St. then another left on to Larch Ave, and proceed to the reviewing stand in Front of Borough Hall.
Due to budget restraint active duty members of the Armed Forces will not be able to participate in this years event. However The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW post #5561 is still accepting Manufacturer's coupon to be sent to Military Families station over seas.
