The Ralph Hall post #5561 of the VFW in Bogota held it's annual Loyalty Day program on Wednesday.
At this event the VFW presented the top three winners in the VFW " Voice of Democracy" and the " Patriots Pen" essay writing contest held in all of the schools in Bogota for students from 2nd to 8th grade. As well as a colouring contest for Kindergarten, and 1st grade students. Another part of the program is to recognize those students who are members of schools safety Patrol.
Post Commandeer Alex Hernandez stating the program by singing the Star Spangled Banner for the audience. Next Councilman Arthur Konigsberg talked about the meaning of Loyalty Day, and mentioned the dedication of those members who have, and are currently serving in all of the Armed Services.
