After several days of rainy weather the Borough of Bogota had it's chance to light the tree in front of Borough Hall. Girls from troop 790 were on hand to lead the crowd in Christmas Carols while waiting for Santa .. When he did arrive, he was chauffeured in on a Bogota Fire truck so all could see him. Santa made his way through the crowd greeting young & old as he went. When he stepped to the front he wished everyone a Merry Christmas, and peaceful Holiday season. Santa handed out some prizes to those children who had a winning ticket Santa then lead the countdown to the lighting of the tree which also have some ornaments made by some of the Girl Scouts. Santa then asked everyone to join him at the Firehouse for some cookies, & hot Chocolate.
While at the Firehouse, he greeted the children personally, handed out candy canes, and sat for photos for everyone who wanted one.
