Sunday the Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team won the 2012 Garden State Challenge. This is a High School volleyball tournament made up of the top teams in the Mid- Atlantic part of the country. With their win Bogota becomes the first New Jersey team to win the Ramapo event. The Lady Bucs went undefeated in pool play winning 16 sets in a row. Last year Bogota captured the silver bracket of the tournament, but this time they cruised into the championship bracket. Bogota had to face Ward- Melville from New York. The Lady Bucs took the first set 21-14, only to lose a close second set 22-25. This time Bogota would win a third set this year 25- 15 for a 2-1 match victory.
Their next scheduled match is Tuesday 9- Oct at Midland Park starting at 7:00p With their next home match Wed. 10 hosting Crandford at 6:30p
